Jose Antonio Reyes remains an enigma for Spain.

A player capable of great things on his day, the Arsenal man seems incapable of putting two consistent performances together for his country.

Luis Aragones will use him primarily on the right - as he did in his seven appearances during qualifying - but likes Reyes and Joaquin to swap wings during games to present opposing full-backs with a different kind of threat.

The 22-year-old appears to have formed a good understanding with Fernando Torres in recent games and Aragones will hope the duo can maintain that high level of performance if he is called on in Germany.

Recruited by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, that well known spotter of promising youngsters, from Sevilla for £10.5million at the age of just 17, Reyes has struggled with homesickness during his time at Highbury but now appears settled with the Champions League finalists.
