Uncapped before being named in Guus Hiddink's squad, Josh Kennedy is a wildcard for the Dutchman - the Australian Theo Walcott.

But Kennedy is a very different player to Walcott, using his height to terrorise defenders, and he has had to wait for his chance.

He has been based in Germany for the last six years, and currently plays for Dinamo Dresden after spells with Cologne and Wolfsburg.

Kennedy was a member of the Australia team which lost the final of the Under-17 World Championships on penalties six years ago.

Kennedy is engaged to Australia women's basketball international Jacinta Hamilton, but their plans to marry this summer may have to be put on hold after a shock World Cup call-up.
