A relative newcomer on the international scene having only made his debut against fellow qualifiers South Korea in January last year, Markus Rosenberg has been an instant hit with the Swedish national side.

A series of outstanding performances for both Malmo and Halmstad saw Rosenberg seal a "dream move" to Dutch giants Ajax at the start of the season for a fee of around 5million euros, and the future looks bright for the youngster.

Prolific in front of goal and with the ability to win matches with his consistently high work rate, Rosenberg will probably have to be content with a place on the bench for the Swedes (he didn't play a minute of the qualifying campaign) but is the sort of player who can come on and nick a goal.
