At his club Bayern Munich, Julio Dos Santos is known as Paraguay's Michael Ballack.

The promising youngster is highly thought of in the Bundesliga since his arrival in January 2006 from Cerro Porteno and he is expected to fill Ballack's shoes when the German captain leaves the Bavarian giants in the summer.

Dos Santos made his international debut back in April 2004 and his eye-catching performances prompted coach Anibal Ruiz to use him the last three World Cup qualifying games.

Paraguay are expecting Dos Santos to shine this summer as the physically strong midfielder continues to blossom into an exciting playmaker who can create and score goals.

The 23-year-old was voted Paraguay's Player of the Year in 2005 but he is tipped for much greater honours in years to come.
