Position: Defender
Born: 23.07.77
Club: LDU Quito

Versatile full-back Neicer Reasco could provide a useful attacking threat for Ecuador this summer.

The LDU Quinto defender, who is off to Sao Paulo next season, can play on either side of the pitch and has been favoured by coach Luis Suarez for his flexibility.

With plenty of ball skills and heaps of pace the 28-year-old has the qualities to bomb down the wings on the counter attack and gives Ecuador an extra edge.

His weakness is his defensive awareness, and his marking often has a lot to be desired. Nevertheless with 12 qualifying games under his belt, Reasco can understandably expect a starting place in Germany.
