PSV Eindhoven captain and Holland midfielder Phillip Cocu has announced that he will retire from international football after this summer's World Cup.

The 35-year-old announced his decision the TV programme Voetbal Insite.

He has played 95 times for his country and is the third most-capped player behind Frank de Boer (112) and Edwin van der Sar (107).
