Saudi Arabia - Sami Al Jaber

Vastly-experienced campaigner Al Jaber will again be key for Saudi Arabia.

One of only six players to have won over 150 international caps, Sami Al Jaber will become one of a select band to have played in four World Cup finals when he represents Saudi Arabia in Germany in 2006.

Yet the veteran striker only returned to the squad as recently as February having taken almost three years out of the international fray following the Saudis' 8-0 humbling by Germany in their first game of the last World Cup.

He marked that recall - predictably enough - with a goal to underline just how important he is to the Saudi case.

That status will probably come as a surprise to Wolves fans after he spent an unhappy spell at Molineux in 2000.

To be fair to Al Jaber, his disappointing time in England was not all his fault, as injury, the death of his father and international call-ups meant his appearances for Wolves were limited.

Dave Jones' side did offer him the chance to extend his stay there, but his club Al Hilal turned that move down and Al Jaber has rewarded their faith in him with goals galore.

This summer will surely be his swansong at international level, though, and he will hope to go out on a high by adding to his tally of two World Cup finals goals.
