The imposing figure of Radhi Jaidi at the heart of the Tunisia defence is sure to make life a struggle for any striker who comes up against the 'Carthage Eagles' in Germany 2006.

Jaidi became the first Tunisian to play in the English Premier League after he signed for Bolton Wanderers in the summer of 2004 on a free transfer from Esperance De Tunis, who had just won a seventh straight Tunisian championship.

He was eager to test his skills and ability in Europe and instantly became a favourite at the Reebok, scoring a number of important goals and being hailed by Sam Allardyce as one of the best headers of the ball he had ever coached.

Jaidi also managed to juggle both domestic and international duties very well throughout a gruelling campaign, helping Bolton qualify for the UEFA Cup for the first time in their history and making sure Tunisia reached their fourth World Cup finals.

The North African is a powerful central defender who is strong in the tackle, dominant in the air and he will always pose a threat in the opposition box area when he gets forward for set-plays.

He is also vastly experienced at international level and was a key player in Tunisia's victory over Nigeria in the Africa Nations Cup final in 2004 and was also part of the 2002 World Cup squad.
