Grand Leipzig: Old Town Hall
A beautiful reminder of the German Renaissance, Leipzig's Old Town Hall (Markt 1) is a stunner. The city's History Museum is inside.

Lazy Walk: Mädlerpassage
Stroll through Leipzig's splendid Mädlerpassage shopping arcades. The area around the train station crams in hundreds of specialist stores and boutiques underneath its majestic, high ceilings.

Best View: Völkerschlachten Monument
Take the tram south and gaze at this towering monument, marking the allies' 1813 battle against Napoleon's troops, then climb the 400 stairs for great views over Leipzig.
