The World Cup stadium, Signal Iduna Park (known in Germany as the Bundesliga's Opera House), has the largest terrace in the world, with standing space for 25,000 fans! Home team Borussia Dortmund (BVB) have Europe's highest attendance for league matches, eclipsing even Barcelona.

The World Cup Stadium is 4km south of the city centre, on U Bahn (train) lines U45 and U46. Get off at Westfalenstadion.

Get there from the Main Station
From the Hauptbahnhof (main station), take line U45 and get off at Westfalenstadion. The journey takes just 10 minutes.

Get there from the Airport
From the airport, take the shuttle bus to the central bus station opposite the Hauptbahnhof, then change to line U45.

Alternatively, hop on bus 440 from the terminal towards Oespel S and get off at Brünninghausen (40 minutes), then take bus 450 to Westfalenhallen (5 minutes).

Get there from the City Centre
Take line U45 from the Hauptbahnhof. Taxis charge around ¿8 for the same journey.
