Cologne's World Cup stadium, RheinEnergieStadion, has very steep stands and enormous 72-metre floodlight towers. It is home to 1. FC Cologne, the winners of the very first Bundesliga title.
The World Cup stadium lies to the west of the city centre, near the Stadion tram stop.
Get there from the Main Station
From the Hauptbahnhof (main station) take tram line 16 or 19 towards
Wesseling, Klettenberg or Bonn. Get off at Neumarkt, then change onto tram line 1 towards Junkersdorf. The journey takes around 20 minutes.
Get there from the Airport
Köln Bonn Airport is connected to Cologne by shuttle bus and frequent S-Bahn trains (line S13).
Expect to pay roughly 25 (Euro) for a taxi to the city centre or the stadium.
Get there from the City Centre
Take tram line 1 from Neumarkt to Stadion (towards Junkersdorf). Taxis charge around 8-10 (Euro).
